Hi friends! If you have been searching for the best cleansers for acne-prone skin, look no further. I’ve been dealing with acne for a long time, and I can’t tell you how many new skincare products I’ve tried and tested in the past year. It also doesn’t help that we’re bored at home in a quarantine….. goodbye bank account?
When it comes to skincare, everyone seems to have questions and there are answers being thrown at them from every direction. With new platforms like Tiktok and Reels coming out, it’s becoming increasingly hard to understand the difference between what products are good for you vs which ones will absolutely terrorize your skin. Because of this, I am *officially* going to be shifting my blog into doing more skincare and beauty-based content. This includes reviews, skincare guides, and which products will be the best for your skin. Make sure you subscribe so you won’t miss a post! <3
Let’s hop into what you came here for – the top 5 BEST cleansers for sensitive + acne prone skin:
I’ve talked about this cleanser to anyone who will listen. This is the only cleanser that I always go back to and it’s the cleanser I always compare other cleansers to. It’s the best no-nonsense cleanser that will get rid of all the makeup, sweat, and dirt off your face and it’s going to make your skin feel clean. You know that feeling after you’ve washed your face with an amazing cleanser and your skin just feels healthy and rejuvenated? Yeah, this cleanser will do that for you. It’s also not overly hydrating so it’s PERFECT for oily skin – like I said, no nonsense. It’s also at a great price point, so if you want something that’s affordable and WORKS, this is the cleanser for you.
If you have acne-prone oily or combo skin, this one’s for you. This is a gentle exfoliator with rice enzymes that you can use on a daily basis, and it also has salicylic acid to combat budding acne. Every time I use this my skin feels polished and smooth, and I definitely noticed my acne scars becoming lighter over the period I used this. It’s also amazing for bumps and texture on the skin! The only downside is that it is a little pricey, but if you have the ability to try this out, I HIGHLY recommend it!
This cleanser is amazing for ALL skin types, whether you’re oily or dry or something in between. It has some amazing ingredients including kale, spinach, and green tea, and these are all incredible for the skin. It’ll help to add a healthy glow to the skin and also helps to fight free radicals on the skin. It’s a win win for everyone + it has thousands of reviews on Sephora that say the same thing.
This is a new addition to the Tatcha family, but just like all their other products, it’s absolutely killing the game. This is another cleanser that is great for all skin types. It helps to exfoliate the skin without stripping it of natural oils (and yes, if you have oily skin, you NEED your natural oils) and helps to add a beautiful, youthful glow to the skin. I love all Tatcha products – the presentation is a 10/10 as well as the product within.
This one is an underdog – I didn’t see it coming but it’s an absolutely INCREDIBLE. It’s so amazing for all skin types – and while it might be marketed towards dry skin types, it’s great for those with combination skin. Every time I use it, it’s a calming experience. I work it into my skin for 30 seconds and when I wash it off, my face looks luminous, refreshed, and clean. It also doesn’t cause irritation because it has chamomile and camellia, both of which are great to soothe inflammation on the skin.
